• Origin :

                      Lateral condyle of Tibia
                      Fibula

•  Insertion :

                            Middle and distal phalanx of 2nd -5 th toe .
                            5th metatarsal bone

• Action :

                             Extension of 2nd and 5th toe
                             Extension of foot

Tibialis Anterior

• origin :

                       Lateral condyle of tibia
                       Lateral surface of tibia
                       Interosseous membrane

• Insertion :

                        Base of 1st metatarsal Bone
                        Medial Cuneform

• Action :

                      Extension of foot
                      Supination and Adduction of foot
                        Lateral group

Fibularis Brevis

• origin : Fibula
• Insertion : Base of 5th metatarsal bone
• Action :

                          Flexion of foot
                          Pronation and Abduction of foot

Finularis longus

• Origin : Fibula
• Insertion : Base of 1st metatarsal bone

                               Medial cuniform

• Action :

                         Flexion of foot
                         Pronation and abduction of foot
                         Posterior group

• Origin : Lateral condyle of femur
• Insertion : Posterior surface of Tibia
• Action : Flexion and Internal Rotation of leg

Tibialis Posterior

• Origin :

                        Posterior surface of tibia and Fibula

• Insertion : Navicular and medial Cuneiform
• Action :

                        Flexion of foot
                         Supination and Adduction of foot
